65 cars out of 898 were provided with an auxiliary Vantage engine that featured triple Weber carburetor and produced 314 hp.

DB5 could also boast of a range of technical solutions like alternating-current generator, tint glass, four exhaust pipes, and electric window lifts.

Just when DB5 was put in production it was provided with a standard 4-speed gearbox DB4 featured however there was an optional five-speed ZF gearbox that soon became the standard.
