Aston Martin DB6: The History of the ModelIn 1965 Aston Martin DB6 was introduced; it was the last of the range founded by Aston Martin DB4. Aston Martin DB6 was in production till the mid 1969 when Aston Martin Mark II was put into production. In 1966 Aston Martin DB6 Volante made its debut, it was the automobile that replaced short wheelbase Aston Martin Volante. Unfortunately, there were only 140 of these amazing cars produced during the whole production period. Aston Martin DB6 Shooting Brake was presented in 1967. There were only 7 of them produced. Aston Martin DB6 Mark 2 Volante was introduced in 1969. These cars are a rarity as there were only 38 Aston Martin DB6 Mark 2 Volante cars produced. Aston Martin DB6 Mark 2 was presented the same year and it actually became the last car of DB4 range; it was all over with Aston Martin DB6 when Aston Martin DBS range appeared.
