Aston Martin: The Beginning of the Twentieth Century

These were Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford who founded "Aston Martin" when in 1914 they designed a light sports car based on the Italian "Isotta Fraschini" and provided with a 1.4-liter "Coventry-Simples" motor. The automobile was named to celebrate Martin's victory in the races on Aston Clinton hill.

Second "Aston Martin" model was designed by the end of 1919 and in January 1920 it was put into serial production. The car was being produced in the former stable building.
