Aston Martin: The Nineteen 20ies

The company was becoming sportier and more technically experienced as its cars had been taking part in races.

In 1924 earl Luis Zhborovski who was providing substantial financial support to the company got smashed up during the race and died, therefore the company that almost went bankrupt was bought by Renwick's engineer at a cost of 6 000 pounds. The manufacture was transferred to Feltham district and this situation remained unchangeable till 1957.

Renwick together with his partner Bertelli owned a research company called "R & B". The specialists of that very company designed a new 165-horsepower motor provided with an overhead camshaft. All "Aston Martin" automobiles produced before 1936 were based on the platform of this motor, although it was restyled for every another car produced.
