Aston Martin: The Nineteen 60ies

New model "DB-2" provided with 105-horsepower 2.6-liter engine was introduced in 1950. That was a sports car that took part in various races and showed good results.

Sports modification "DB-3S" provided with 200-horsepower motor that became one of the best Aston Martin race cars was in production since 1953 till 1956.

However "DBR" was the most successful race car. In 1959 the company produced "DB-4" provided with a 240-horsepower 6-cylinder 3.7-liter aluminium engine that featured 2 overhead camshafts. This model was created by Tadek Marek and boasted of a rear suspension on trailing arms and torsion bars. The model's light body became more elegant and attractive in talking of its shape.
