Aston Martin: The Nineteen 90iesAston Martin's economic status improved in the 90ies thanks to Ford Corporation that owned the company, therefore new sports "DB-7" model provided with 6-cylinder 335-horsepower engine was introduced. What is more, the automobile was named in the way it used to have been named some 20 years ago. The company used to sell about 100 cars a year and this number increased to reach 700 cars a year indicator in 1995. In the 90ies the company is also selling such models as Virage, Volante, and Vantage provided with a restyled V8 engine. This engine boasts of 4 valves per cylinder and of positive-displacement blowers, therefore it horsepower equals to 557 hp. In 1999 the company produced the new development of the English designers DB7 Vantage, which was first displayed during Genevan motor show. This model was produced to show the latest achievements in the field of automobile engines and design. New DB7 Vantage's design was developed by Ian Callum.
